CW Aero Services

CW Aero Services is a Singapore company that supplies airport systems, ground support equipment, tooling, test systems and digital solutions for aircraft on the ground, across Southeast Asia.

The company has helped airlines, MROs and airports in the region for more than a decade. Its offer rests on three pillars: products, engineering services, and digital solutions for Industry 4.0. The products are made by its partners or designed by its own engineers. Its stated aims are to make ground handling and maintenance easier and to cut carbon emissions on the airside.

Its airport systems include pre-conditioned air and 400Hz power for airports and hangars, in pits or on floors or bridges. It also covers airfield lighting measurement and maintenance, including runway photometric testing. Its ground support equipment includes pushback and tow tractors, ground power units, air starters, air conditioning units and non-motorised items such as tow bars, carts and aircraft recovery systems. The company says many of its machines are or will soon be available in electric versions. It also offers rental and leasing when buying does not make sense.

The engineering unit builds component test benches, industrial machinery and custom designs. Digital solutions include airport fleet management, a LIDAR collision avoidance system for aircraft towing, predictive maintenance, industrial IoT, and asset tracking indoors and outdoors.

CW Singapore was founded in 1982 as a logistics and procurement company. It moved into the airport and aerospace industries in 1998. CW Aero Services was created in 2017 as a spin-off. That year it was first to cool an A380 on the ground and built the first component test bench made in Singapore. In 2018 it set up its headquarters and workshop at Seletar Aerospace Park and installed ground aircraft power and cooling at Changi Airport. It joined an R and D project with A*STAR and Boeing in 2019. It opened offices in Manila in 2023 and Kuala Lumpur in 2024.

The team has 25 people, and the company holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001 and bizSAFE level 4. Its client list includes Changi Airport, GE Aviation, Jet Aviation, Malaysia Airlines, the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Safran, SIAEC, ST Engineering and Boeing.
