Mototok manufactures battery-operated remote-controlled aircraft tugs with hydraulic platform that encloses nose wheel safely and gently. Founded in 2003 by Kersten Eckert (avid aviator) and partner Thilo Wiers-Keiser creating world’s first fully electric towbarless aircraft tugs with remote control used worldwide in aviation.
Revolutionary in simplicity. With remote control feature operator able to move anywhere around aircraft to see every vantage point. Operators eyes never leave aircraft while in movement. All functions including opening nose wheel door, fixing nose wheel and lifting platform triggered “hands-free” by means of remote control. Powered by two high-torque electric motors on each side.
Automatic Hydraulic Nosegear Loading: Sensor controlled—smart, fast, easy and safe. Fully hydraulic and sensor monitored nose wheel platform with loading process taking only 10-15 seconds. No winch, no lashing straps, no laborious bending down to fix nose wheel. Drive Mototok with opened hydraulical door and lowered platform towards nose wheel until touches inner wedge then press start-button. Hydraulical door closes, sliding table presses nose wheel towards closed door until specified pressure reached, platform lifts and raises nose wheel—ready for moving aircraft.
Product Range: MRO/FBO models include SPACER 200 (up to 200 t/440,900 lbs), SPACER 8600 MA (up to 80 t/176,400 lbs), TWIN 7500 NG/Flat (up to 75 t/165,300 lbs), TWIN 6600 NG (up to 55 t/121,300 lbs), TWIN 6500 NG Flat (up to 50 t/110,200 lbs), TWIN 3900 NG (up to 39 t/86,000 lbs), M 528 (up to 28 t/61,700 lbs), M 515 (up to 15 t/33,000 lbs). German Engineering manufactured in Krefeld, Germany (Hohenzollernstraße 47, 47799 Krefeld). Made in Germany with inventive genius aimed at smooth functionality, German perfectionism and detail orientation. After 5 years of development time tugs flaunt technological approaches virtually unheard-of.
Used by international FBOs, MROs, aircraft manufacturers, special forces, airports, airlines, navy, military, industrial companies, businessmen and individuals with fleet. Market leadership in compact electric tugs up to 200 t (441,000 lbs) towing capacity shown by customer list including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, Pilatus, Air France, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, NASA, US Air Force, US Army National Guard, Jet Aviation, Duncan Aviation, Standard Aero, Atlantic Aviation, Constant Aviation and major corporations.
Revolutionary space efficiency: Park aircraft directly in corner of hangar or in front of wall making most of available space expanding hangar capacity by up to 160%. Mototok fits under virtually any aircraft including helicopters like NH90 or V22 with very low ground clearance due to mounted accessories.
Mototok maintains over 20 years developing electric remote-controlled aircraft tractors at highest technological and innovative level. Market leadership in compact electric tugs demonstrated by customer list including biggest players in market.
German Engineering with handpicked components of highest quality equipping products for heavy usage guaranteeing reliably sustainable stable value. Unlike conventional tractors electrical tugs are virtually maintenance free and capable of withstanding toughest conditions—no troublesome oil changes, universal joints or air filters.
Unique Mototok Principle: Turning nose gear and moving aircraft are two completely different movements—deciding advantage of Mototok tug system. Fuselage and wingtips remain in position whilst turning nose gear on spot for maneuvering. Result is minimum requirement of space whilst shunting aircraft. Mototok can turn under aircraft fuselage when maneuvering but aircraft itself remains fixed in position.
Advanced Features: Mototok CPU with central processing unit for towing/braking forces, oversteering protection, voice announcements, unit diagnostics, log files, user access. Mototok cloud enabling remote access with technicians accessing all parameters in real time. AGV Autonomous driving solutions available. Oversteering Protection System eliminating excessive stress on nose gear. Intelligent Nosegear Protection System (I-NPS) initiates countersteering to eliminate overtorque situation.
Clients selecting Mototok benefit from revolutionary remote control technology providing comprehensive aircraft handling solutions:
These capabilities combine to create revolutionary aircraft towing solutions focusing on remote control precision, space efficiency, and zero emissions with German engineering quality.
