About Association of Aerospace Industries
The Association of Aerospace Industries (Singapore), or AAIS, is a not-for-profit trade body for the aerospace industry in Singapore. It was established in 2003 to help build Singapore's standing as an aerospace hub.
AAIS represents companies in aviation, aerospace and unmanned aircraft systems. Members work in maintenance, repair and overhaul, manufacturing, parts distribution, research and development, training and education, and aftermarket services. The association describes its roles as the voice of industry, a way to help business and a way to build community.
Its activities include upcoming and past events, training courses and webinars. A calendar of events is published for each half year. In 2026 the association held its 24th Annual General Meeting, a networking event for its Singapore UAS Community and a futsal tournament with 28 teams. It supported a large Singapore Pavilion at MRO Asia-Pacific 2026. It also held a dialogue with the French aerospace group GIFAS and a supplier development session with KG Aircraft Rotables and the Kanematsu Group.
The association works with the Republic of Singapore Air Force. At the 2026 meeting, AAIS signed an addendum to its memorandum of understanding with the air force. It adds an Industrial Attachment Programme for eligible air force personnel. AAIS also has an International AAIS Network and lists partners and affiliations.
Industry development work covers talent and careers, safety, sustainability, and quality and standards. A Career Conversion Programme for aerospace offers funding for on-the-job training of new hires and for moving staff into new growth areas.
AAIS publishes directories, magazines and a newsletter. It also offers business services such as a panel of experts, meeting facilities and a serviced office called Runway21. The association is based at Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. Its members include ordinary members, associate members and charter members.
