Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is the Defense Solutions Division of Curtiss-Wright Corporation and the main business unit of its Defense Electronics segment. Headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia, it designs rugged commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) electronics and systems for aerospace, ground and naval defense programs in the United States and allied countries.

Programs and markets

Curtiss-Wright lists its aerospace defense technology on platforms including the F-35 Lightning II, MV-75 FLRAA, Eurofighter Typhoon, C-17 Globemaster, unmanned aerial systems and the NASA Space Launch System. The division's flight test instrumentation is also used on the F-22 and B-52. Curtiss-Wright and Honeywell have developed cockpit voice recorders to help Boeing and Airbus meet the 25-hour recording requirement.
