Continental Services

Continental Services is the factory service center of Continental Aerospace Technologies at H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport (KCQF), 8600 County Road 32, Fairhope, Alabama, on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. It maintains piston engines and aircraft and runs an avionics shop, and it is a Cirrus Authorized Service Center. Cirrus SR aircraft use Continental engines, so the center can combine airframe inspections with factory engine work in one visit.

CAPS parachute overhaul, composite and paint repair and Vision Jet (SF50) maintenance are not listed for this center.

Engine services

• Overhauls of Continental and Lycoming engines; the shop says it is the only one that can provide a Continental factory overhaul, and owners can keep the original engine serial number
• Exchange engines in stock, engine sales and installation on site
• Sudden stoppage and propeller strike inspections, fleet overhaul programs and Jet-A piston engine retrofits
• Cylinder return to service
• Continental Diesel / Jet-A engine service center

Aircraft and avionics services

The center is an authorized service center for Textron piston products (Baron, Bonanza and single-engine Cessna), Diamond Aircraft and Cirrus, and an authorized Garmin and uAvionix service center. It is an FAA certificated repair station. David Shear is Director of Continental Services. Airframe work includes 50-hour, 100-hour and annual inspections with AD research, airframe and powerplant maintenance for Beechcraft, Cessna, Diamond and Piper aircraft, propeller maintenance and fuel system calibration. The avionics shop does IFR and GPS certifications, autopilot and communication repairs, database updates and upgrades.
