About Chargerback

Chargerback, Inc. provides cloud-based lost and found software used by airlines, airports, casinos, resorts, rental car companies, cruise lines, amusement parks and public venues to reunite people with their belongings. Co-founded in August 2010 by its president and chief financial officer Mr. Colodny and his partner, the company describes its Lost and Found Solution as the only patent-protected cloud-based lost and found software available, protected by US patents including 9,367,527, 9,626,645, 10,482,422 and 10,482,552, and says its partner base includes more Fortune 100 and 500 companies than other providers combined.

Platform

  • A cloud platform accessible from any mobile device that lets venues log found items, match them with lost item reports and ship them back, with the aim of turning lost into found more often with half the effort
  • A technology stack with AI, image recognition, full data encryption, PII protection, touchless return, a full chain of custody, reporting and customisable interfaces
  • Security and compliance including a PCI-compliant payment solution that reduces credit card fraud risk, GDPR readiness for the European Union and CCPA compliance
  • No software to install, shipping through Chargerback at no cost to the business, and staff training available at any time
  • Public tools for travellers who are Looking for Something Lost or Looking for Something Found, with lost item reports tracked by report ID and venue

Company

Chargerback says its business centres on a hands-on, personalised standard of care, and quotes a former executive of a major airline who credited its customised approach during a system-wide launch. Its leadership includes the founder of Computing Resources, Inc., a payroll services provider started in 1978 that merged with Intuit in 1999, and the co-founder of Ramac Industries and GarageIQ Software, who brings software system design and corporate management experience. The company can be reached on its toll-free number for business enquiries and personal information requests.
