About Burrana

Burrana is a cabin technology company that develops inflight entertainment, in seat power and passenger service products for airlines. Its RISE platform brings inflight entertainment, in seat power and passenger services together. The company says RISE helps airlines cut operating costs and raise passenger satisfaction. RISE Power is an aircraft in seat power system. It offers USB A and USB C 60W ports, 110 volt outlets and a common 48 volt DC architecture. The company estimates about a 30 percent weight reduction on a typical single aisle aircraft and about five tonnes of CO2 savings per year.

Airline services include wireless streaming, ancillary revenue apps, IFEC management tools and data and analytics. These help airlines earn ancillary revenue, update portals and apps more quickly, and make content and food and beverage stocking decisions with analytics.

Jetstar introduced a power centric seat architecture with RISE Power and a passenger service system on its 787 fleet. China Southern Airlines took delivery of its first aircraft with RISE Power in 2025. These projects show how the system works in service.

Burrana also supplies IFE systems, including PAVES On Demand, GLIDE IFE and PAVES Broadcast. Its legacy range includes content services, passenger service solutions, tape replacement, ENGAGE and LED lighting. It also offers cabin services system database updates and a narrowbody technology refresh.

The company describes its team as specialist avionics, mechanical, electrical and software engineers. Burrana shows its products at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, and it announced a new class of power at the 2026 show.
