BUMAX

BUMAX is a Swedish manufacturer of high-performance stainless steel fasteners for the most demanding applications. Its specialist factory is in Ashammar in central Sweden, it has offices or distributors in more than 40 countries, and it is wholly owned by the Swedish-listed Bufab Group. BUMAX makes bolts, screws, nuts and custom fasteners by hot and cold forming and by machining, in a range of stainless grades chosen for strength, fatigue and corrosion resistance, low magnetic permeability and temperature resistance, and describes its products as the world's strongest stainless steel bolts.

Quality

BUMAX sources stainless steel only from premium European mills to its own specifications, produces every fastener with full traceability and can always provide EN 10204 3.1 certificates. The company has more than 70 employees, based at the factory in Sweden and in technical sales roles around the world, and says consistent quality from batch to batch and long service life reduce maintenance and replacement costs.

Applications

Customer stories on the site include fasteners inside CERN's Large Hadron Collider, high-strength pins for a conveyor belt manufacturer, locking assemblies for RINGFEDER, precision fasteners for next-generation electronics and semiconductor equipment, and fasteners that passed the strength and vibration tests of a university space science institute in Taiwan. Markets include space, defence, naval, high-tech and semiconductors, energy and process industries.
