About BIG BEAR AI

BigBear.ai builds artificial intelligence and decision intelligence tools for defense, intelligence, border security, travel and trade, and manufacturing and supply chain customers. The company has worked in the defense and intelligence market since 1988 and has a growing commercial business. Aviation is one small part of its work.

Its tools help leaders create order from complex data, spot blind spots and predict outcomes. Customers include groups in the U.S. Intelligence Community and Combatant Commands. The company says it uses an open architecture, so platforms, models and data can work together. It also states a commitment to the safe and responsible use of AI.

The generative AI platform is built on Ask Sage. It gives teams access to more than 150 language models in one workspace. A sealed, air-gapped version can run in secure sites with no outside connection. Modeling and simulation tools use digital twins. They include Dominate, ProModel and Shipyard AI. FutureFlow Rx predicts patient flow in hospitals. ConductorOS manages AI models and sensor data at the edge.

For airports and travel, the company offers facial recognition and biometric matching. Trueface and veriScan support identity checks, access control, biometric boarding and bag tags. Pangiam Threat Detection uses computer vision to find anomalies in 3D baggage screening. A company press release says it received Dutch national approval for airport security screening. CargoSeer helps screen cargo by combining computer vision, machine learning and trade data.

Homeland and border security is a core market. The company helps agencies protect borders and guard against threats. Customs and transportation agencies use its facial recognition, computer vision and threat detection tools. Arcas uses computer vision to classify objects and improve situational awareness. In Panama, the company and International Shipping Compliance deployed an AI supply chain security platform in the dry canal.

Other services include cybersecurity and predictive intelligence. The cybersecurity work uses AI analytics and digital twins to detect threats. Expert staff support mission delivery and data integration projects. The company also models production systems, warehouses, shipyards, life sciences and retail operations. It works with technology providers, systems integrators and consulting firms.
