Bergen Cable Technology

Bergen Cable Technology Inc. is a wire rope and cable assembly manufacturer. The site says it was founded in 1942 in Lodi, New Jersey. It calls itself the longest running wire rope and cable assembly company in existence. The site describes the company as made in the U.S.A. The freephone phone number is 1-800-237-4369.

The company makes safety cables that help prevent fastener loss and foreign object damage. It also makes custom cable assemblies and LockClad cables that meet MIL-DTL-87218. Its control cables give push-pull and pull-pull motion. It also makes lanyards, miniature cables, and termination bands.

The site says the termination bands are qualified to M85049/128-3 and M85049/128-4. They are supplied in flat and coiled forms and are 0.250 inches wide. The site says the bands secure EMI and RFI shielding onto connector backshells.

The site describes the manufacturing steps. These include rotary swaging for end fittings, flash cutting to prevent unraveling, and stripping of coated cable. Hydraulic and pneumatic presses crimp end fittings, with presses up to 175 tons. Finishing includes etching, hot stamping, metal stamping, and laser marking.

The site says every aircraft cable assembly is tested for compliance. Its test equipment can run proof and destructive load tests up to 22,500 pounds force. It can also validate cable up to 106 feet long.

The site says the company holds AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certification and ITAR certification. It says it holds several U.S. Government QPL certifications and is an approved supplier to aerospace and medical companies.
