Battlespace Simulations
Multidomain combat simulation and analysis software
About Battlespace Simulations
Battlespace Simulations (BSI) is a software company that specialises in multidomain combat simulation and analysis in near-peer threat environments. The company says it has nearly two decades of experience in modelling, simulation and analysis, and that more than 2,000 licences of its products are in use worldwide. Its software is used by militaries and companies for joint fires training, wargaming, mission planning, analysis and rehearsal, and electronic warfare work.
BSI sells its commercial software directly to customers. Buyers who want a quote tell the company which products, and how many of each, they need and whether they are a domestic or international customer.
Products
- MACE: full-spectrum battlespace simulation software for building and running scenarios across many domains, with pulse level electromagnetic spectrum modelling; it is also described as the computer generated forces engine behind many combat and weapon system trainers
- ARMOR: a worldwide scale 3D visual image generator based on Unity, usable from first-person control to table-top planning and on screens, multichannel systems, virtual and mixed reality
- Merlin: a companion artificial intelligence agent in MACE EW that lets users work with MACE events through a natural language chat
- Viper: simulation of military communications with radios that have physics-based signal modelling
- DIScord: a record and playback tool for DIS network traffic
Use cases
The company lists computer generated forces, mission planning, analysis and rehearsal, and joint fires training that it says meets accredited international standards. It also supports testing and evaluating new capabilities and tactics in simulation before they are used live, with parameters that can be changed easily and repeated runs. Its content is authored by users with open standards.
