About Babel Street
Babel Street is a risk intelligence software company. Its platform uses AI agents to help defense, intelligence, law enforcement and regulated organizations spot threats, check identities and vet suppliers.
The company was founded in 2009. Its customers include national defense and law enforcement agencies, global enterprises and financial technology firms. Its AI agents work on rights-cleared data and aim to produce decision-ready intelligence in minutes rather than days, with people staying in control.
The platform works in three steps. It ingests global, multilingual data, uses agentic AI to find patterns and risks, and then gives analysts insights they can explain and act on. It handles many languages and scripts and reads intent, not just words. Its main parts are Modules, Data, Insights, Secure Access and Mission Support.
Vendor Risk Intelligence helps organizations find hidden owners, foreign influence and financial exposure in their supply chain. The company says its framework follows NDAA sections 841 to 843 and 847 and DoD vendor policy. Identity Risk Intelligence resolves names and aliases across systems and languages. It supports border screening, which can flag high-risk travelers and cargo, and financial services compliance such as name screening and know your customer checks.
Strategic Threat Intelligence surfaces intent, influence and movements, including from deleted or dark web content. Secure Access offers managed attribution so researchers can work without leaving a trace, with privacy and compliance steps built in. Other use cases include sanctions compliance and insider threat.
Babel Street reports that CIRAT cut investigative time by 50 percent using its Insights Investigator tool. It offers a five-day free trial with a customer's own data, plus demos, a resource center and a trust center that covers responsible AI, data and privacy. The company also publishes white papers, data sheets, blog posts and case studies. Its website is in English and Japanese, and its locations outside the United States are separate wholly owned subsidiaries.
