About Avionics

Avionics Limited is an Australian airfield lighting specialist that builds, replaces and maintains airfield ground lighting (AGL) for airports and defence bases.

The company has worked since 2007. It builds new airfield systems and changes existing ones. It also looks for ways to improve how fast and how well installation work is done, while keeping to high safety standards. Its customers include airport owners and civil contractors that deliver large airfield projects.

Avionics has a long record at major Australian airports. It has worked at Melbourne Airport since 2007 on projects that upgrade facilities for airline operators. It also has an ongoing relationship with Sydney Airport, where it handles upgrades and maintenance. Other work includes taxiway and runway lighting at Brisbane, Adelaide and Mackay airports, and a runway lighting upgrade at Moranbah Airport in Queensland for BHP Mitsubishi Alliance. The company also lists a project at Hong Kong International Airport.

Defence is a major part of the business. Since 2008 Avionics has completed work at all major RAAF, Navy and Army airfield sites in Australia. These include RAAF bases at Williamtown, Williams, Amberley, Scherger, Pearce, Darwin, Richmond, Tindal, Townsville, Learmonth, Edinburgh, Curtin and Gin Gin. They also include Army Aviation Centre Oakey, Woomera Aerodrome and HMAS Albatross. At HMAS Albatross it upgraded a flight deck trainer to support night vision goggles. On one defence project it worked as a joint venture with ADB Safegate.

Avionics supplies AGL fixtures, fittings, cables and sealants. It has its own LED lighting range. It also offers partner products from ATG Airports, EFLA, EWO, NARVA, Delpatch, Delastic and PaveSaver, along with specialist airfield lighting cable. The company also provides preventive and corrective AGL maintenance.

Avionics holds an OFSC accreditation and an ISO 45001 certificate for occupational health and safety management.
