Aviaspace Bremen

Aviaspace Bremen e.V. is an association of companies and application-oriented research institutes in and around the German federal state of Bremen. It presents Bremen as a location for aeronautics and space. Under the state's Innovation Strategy 2030, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ports and Transformation has commissioned the association to carry out the concrete implementation of the state's aeronautics and space strategy. That innovation strategy was created with representatives from business and science and also covers fields such as the maritime economy and logistics, and the food and beverage industry.

Its main goal is to strengthen and further develop the aeronautics and space industry through close networking among all key sectors and innovation drivers in Bremen. The association aims to improve cooperation and to develop new projects, with Bremen as a centre for business and science. Its scope covers aeronautics, space and other related technologies in which its members have specific skills. More than fifty companies and institutes in the sector have already joined.

News and projects

Recent items on the site include a call for applications to ESA BIC Northern Germany with a deadline of 11 October 2026, a Taiwan space delegation visiting Space Tech Expo Europe 2026, and a Kobe and Bremen space and aerospace business exchange at ECOMAT in Bremen on 23 October 2026. Other news covers the COOPERANTS project at the Gaia-X Summit 2025 in Porto, which dealt with sovereign data spaces, a European young professionals defence summit organised under the European Network of Defence-related Regions, and a space summit scheduled for 27 and 28 October 2026. The site also lists the project AES Aircraft Electro/Electronic System and offers a membership application form.
