AUNDE

AUNDE is a German company in Mönchengladbach that develops and makes textile and leather surface materials, yarns and seat covers, including covers and curtains for aircraft seats.

The company was founded in 1899 as Achter and Ebels. From the 1920s it focused on developing and making textiles for the car industry. Its website refers to 125 years of history. Today AUNDE offers a full service from a single source. This runs from the first design, through the technical concept, to delivery of yarns, technical textiles, surface materials and seat covers, with the matching certificates.

The yarn business sits with a subsidiary called Technofibres, which is based in Luxembourg and produces spin-dyed yarns. For textile surfaces, the group runs its own machine park. This lets it offer any textile technology with variable settings. AUNDE also develops and produces seat covers in 12 plants around the world. Two group sites are named as AUNDE Spain and AUNDE Brasil.

For aviation, AUNDE develops and makes covers for aircraft seats and aircraft curtains. The company holds the EASA POA Part 21G approval, which is an aviation industry production certificate. The company covers the whole job in this area, from development to making the finished product.

AUNDE is part of AUNDE Group SE. The group has four brands with different jobs. Isringhausen makes seat systems and springs. AUNDE covers surface technologies. Fehrer makes interior modules. Reinert makes technical plastic parts. The group's textile chain covers development, yarn making and the finished seat cover.
