About Assaeroporti

Assaeroporti, the Associazione Italiana Gestori Aeroporti, is the trade association of Italian airport operators. It is part of the Confindustria system. It represents 26 airport management companies that run 32 airports in Italy.

The association publishes monthly air traffic statistics for Italian airports. The company shows traffic data, category focus reports, long-term series and an archive. They also show about 48 thousand aircraft movements, up 6.8 percent, and about 48 thousand tons of cargo, down 2.5 percent. It reports that Italian airports came close to 100 million passengers from June to September 2026, with traffic up 6.3 percent.

Assaeroporti also describes the weight of the sector in the national economy. It cites 65.1 billion euros in added value, 1.3 million jobs and 3.8 percent of Italian GDP. These are the sector figures it gives on its home page.

The association keeps a map of Italian airports and a list of its member companies. It also provides a service charter and information on accessible airports for passengers with reduced mobility. Other pages cover working groups, position papers and studies on air transport, and sustainability. It publishes the national collective labour agreement for air transport, known as the CCNL. A welfare link is also offered.

Its press area carries news, press releases and initiatives from the association and its member airports. Recent topics include a joint call with ACI EUROPE and other groups for the European authorities to suspend the Entry-Exit System border checks. Assaeroporti, Aeroporti 2030, IATA, IBAR and AICALF also asked for more flexibility in how the system is applied. Other stories cover the first hydrogen truck at Malpensa Cargo City and an aerospace exhibition space at Turin Airport.

Each October, Assaeroporti and Italian airports join the Veronesi Foundation for the awareness campaign called Non ci sono scuse. It lists ACI, Confindustria and Federtrasporto among its partners.
