ArianeGroup
Ariane 6 launchers, space propulsion and defence systems from France
About ArianeGroup
ArianeGroup is a rocket maker. Its site says it pioneers the European way to space, for people's well-being and security. The group works through subsidiaries, including Arianespace, Maiaspace, Sodern, Nucletudes, Pyroalliance and A.P.P. The site also has a shop and a news section.
Its space transportation range includes Ariane 6, Maia, Sylex and Astralis. Arianespace launched the MTG-I2 weather satellite on the first Ariane 6 mission to geostationary orbit. Another Ariane 6 flight is planned to launch 36 Amazon Leo satellites.
Themis is a European prototype for space reusability. It has completed a second wet dress rehearsal and a flight chronology rehearsal in its SALTO test campaign. ArianeGroup also works on the front shield for the ExoMars mission, and its teams supported Artemis II, whose astronauts thanked them.
Defence systems cover deterrence, hypersonic systems and space surveillance. The company reports a successful acceptance test of the M51 strategic missile launched from the submarine Le Vigilant.
For spacecraft, the group supplies chemical and electric propulsion systems, made to measure antenna reflectors and composite central tubes. For launchers, it makes space propulsion systems, thermal protection products, chemical components and energetic materials.
For defence, it offers demilitarisation, dismantling and decontamination solutions, and submarine rescue systems used by many national fleets. For industry, it offers liquid hydrogen solutions, non-destructive testing, and technological and environmental risk management.
A long-term supply contract with Beyond Gravity secures Ariane 6 payload fairings. The site also lists job offers, a Launchers Academy and a press section. At the International Space Summit, the group said it was committed to a sovereign and competitive Europe in space.
