About Amris Aviation

Amris Aviation is a pilot competency software and training company. It is based in Dublin, Ireland, and has an office in Tokyo, Japan. The company was formerly known as The Airline Pilot Club Limited. It serves airlines, training organisations and flight schools.

The Amris platform captures audio, flight data and instructor notes in one session record. It maps that evidence to observable behaviours and produces a competency assessment tied to ICAO competencies. Trends show across pilots, instructors and fleets. The company says this helps training teams detect silent failures before they escalate.

Amris says the platform can deliver an estimated net annual saving of more than 40 million euros. Its five year net present value is more than 150 million euros. These figures assume a fleet of 250 aircraft and 2,500 pilots, with a 10% discount rate over five years. One case study covers 1,776 candidates assessed, 49 data points per pilot and 180 pilots selected, with a 75% reduction in SME days.

Amris Academy builds competency-centred pilots. It offers pilot mentorship, structured programmes, learning tools, a community and career placement guidance. Programmes are aligned with CBTA and EBT frameworks and use AI-powered mentorship. The academy reports a 95% placement rate within six months of entering the Airline-Ready Pilot Pool.

Amris provides end-to-end training transformation for airlines and training organisations. Services include CBTA and EBT programme design, MPL and type rating training architecture, and curriculum structuring. It also offers regulatory and compliance advice aligned with ICAO Doc 9868 and EASA Part-FCL, plus authority approval submissions. Instructional design covers lesson plans, session design and classroom and simulator content at programme scale.

The company uses AI in its training development process. It says this allows development cycles up to 10 times faster, with expert review by subject matter experts. Training standardisation work includes instructor calibration models, governance structures and train-the-trainer programmes.

Amris has published 18 playbooks on topics such as competency management, evidence-based training and safety. The playbooks cover nine ICAO competencies. The company references more than 50 airlines in its work. Boeing has invested in Amris for its AI solutions, according to a quote on the company's site. Partners listed include Air Astana, Avianca, Pegasus Airlines, Wizz Air, Ryanair, Boeing and MTU.
