Aircraft Automation
Lightweight trim tab autopilot for light-sport and experimental aircraft

About Aircraft Automation
Aircraft Automation is a family-owned aviation instrumentation company in Oviedo, Central Florida, established in 2018 by Carlos Leon as a sister company to Levil Aviation, run by his brother Ruben Leon. The company designs and manufactures its products in Florida and is best known for a carbon fibre trim tab autopilot for light-sport and experimental aircraft that controls pitch, roll and yaw while weighing less than 2.5 lb including servos, which it describes as the lightest autopilot in the world. Its founders set out to bring the automation long used in motor vehicles to light aircraft cockpits.
SuperECO autopilot
- A 3 1/8 inch all-in-one instrument with a 320 by 240 pixel, 1,000 nit backlit colour display and automatic night dimming, showing pressure altitude with barometric adjustment, indicated airspeed, a 360 degree compass rose and an HSI needle, able to fly a full flight plan by following an external NMEA GPS or navigation source
- Carbon fibre trim tabs driven by RC-type servos, with a standard splashproof kit using 1.8 oz servos for faster aircraft, a waterproof IP-67 kit with 3.0 oz servos for slower amphibians, and a flush-mount waterproof kit for pilots who do not want servos visible on the aileron, elevator and rudder
- Trim tab sizes matched to the aircraft brand and model, fabric aircraft installation with a pre-drilled curved hinge and rivets, and an optional yaw damper add-on for aircraft that are unstable about the vertical axis
- A two-hour emergency backup battery weighing 2 oz, available with internal ADAHRS or slaved to Levil's Astrolink or iLevil AW/AP
SuperECO backup instrument
- The same instrument sold without autopilot servo output, usable as a backup to an EFIS or as a primary means of navigation in an experimental aircraft
- Synchronises heading bug, altitude bug, barometric pressure and other parameters with the iLevil AW/AP, another SuperECO or an ECO trim unit
Sales and support
Products are intended only for experimental and light-sport aircraft and for day VFR guidance, not IFR. Orders ship from Florida within 3 to 10 business days to North America and Europe, with a 30-day money-back guarantee and a one-year limited warranty, manuals and installation guides online, email support on weekdays, an affiliate programme paying 5 percent commission and a private community for owners of its products.
