About Air Zermatt

Air Zermatt AG was founded in 1968 with one helicopter, one pilot and one mechanic. It now employs around 95 people and flies rescue, transport, training and tourist flights from its heliports in Zermatt and Raron in the Valais.

Services

  • Heli-skiing to landing sites including Monte Rosa, Alphubel, Aeschihorn, Testa Grigia, Unterrothorn, Petite Combin and Jungfraujoch; glacier runs require a certified mountain guide
  • Helicopter transfers to Zermatt and the Valais from Geneva, Zurich, Bern, Basel, Sion, Gstaad, St Moritz and Lugano
  • Matterhorn sightseeing and gourmet flights
  • Mountain rescue and rescue card membership
  • Transport flights and the Air Zermatt Training Center

Fleet

Air Zermatt states a fleet of eleven helicopters. Transfers use the Ecureuil H125 (AS 350 B3) with five passenger seats and the twin engine Bell 429 with up to six.
