About Aero Cluster

Aero Cluster is an association of aerospace companies in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. The site also calls it the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster. It was formally established in 2008 to align the industry and strengthen the region's competitiveness.

The cluster's mission is to strengthen and speed up the aerospace ecosystem in Chihuahua through a shared plan between industry, academia and government. Its vision is to make the state a recognised centre for designing, making, assembling and testing aerospace components.

The site gives background on the region. Since the 1970s, Chihuahua has been a manufacturing hub, and aerospace arrived in the 1990s. Global companies named on the site include Safran, Honeywell, Zodiac and Cessna.

The site gives figures for the state. It lists more than USD 2 billion in annual exports, more than 19,000 aerospace jobs, and more than 60 AS9100 certified aerospace operations. It says the state ranks second in aerospace production.

The site says the cluster has 34 member companies. They are grouped as OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, local and SME firms, industrial development and shelter services, and supply and distribution. Members can use business contacts, supplier lists and industry insights.

The cluster works under a Triple Helix model. This links industry, academia and government to speed up innovation and talent development. The site has a database, downloads, an updates section and an events list. Its president for 2025 to 2027 is Eng. Mario Enríquez, Operations Director for Honeywell Aerospace Chihuahua.

Contact is by web form or by phone at (614) 442 8450. Business hours are 08:00 to 17:00. The cluster is supported by Index Chihuahua, the Export and Manufacturing Industry Association of Chihuahua.
