About Advanced Flight Systems

Advanced Flight Systems designs and builds avionics and instrument panels for experimental and light sport aircraft. The company is based in Canby, Oregon, and is part of the Dynon group.

Its flagship program is ADVANCEDPANEL. The company says it designs and makes avionics, panels, aircraft control systems and wiring harnesses itself, so it can offer a complete, integrated system produced in-house. The goal is to help a builder or owner get the panel they want.

ADVANCEDPANEL comes in two forms. ADVANCEDPANEL Complete is a full panel package. ADVANCEDPANEL BYOPanel is for owners who want to bring their own panel design. The company also offers system consultations to help people plan a panel, along with a gallery of past panels, a store and a comparison guide to help buyers choose.

The Advanced Control Module, or ACM, is a key part of the system. It was once sold only with ADVANCEDPANEL Complete. It is now sold in three ways, including an ACM Jumpstart Kit. It is open to all experimental amateur-built and light sport pilots who choose Dynon or Advanced Flight Systems avionics.

The display range includes the AF-6600, AF-5700 and AF-5800 displays. The company also supports earlier AF-5000, AF-4000, AF-3500, AF-3400 and AF-2500 series displays and the ACS 2002 engine monitor, as well as AOA Pro and AOA Sport angle of attack products. For these products it provides software updates, manuals, drawings and CAD models, service bulletins and warranty support. It also offers aviation, obstacle and terrain databases, geo-referenced charts and airport diagrams, and international mapping data for its displays.

Customers can use a discussion forum and email or phone support teams for sales and technical questions. The company belongs to The Dynon Group, which also includes Dynon Avionics, Dynon Certified and Trig Avionics.
