About Tyrolean Jets & Services

Tyrolean Jets and Services, known as TJS, is a business jet operator and aircraft manager based in Tyrol, Austria. It offers private charter flights worldwide and manages business jets for owners.

The company says it has offered charter flights for more than 45 years. Its roots go back to 1978, when shareholders acquired the business. It became Tyrolean Airways in 1979 and first combined airline, air ambulance, business jet and helicopter work. In 1980 it flew scheduled routes from Innsbruck to Vienna and Zurich. In 1985 it split its business aviation, air ambulance and helicopter arms into separate companies. Today it focuses only on international business and private jet travel.

For aircraft management, TJS has air operator certificates in Austria and Malta. Its management work has covered Beechcraft King Air, Bombardier Global, Gulfstream G550 and G650ER, Dassault Falcon and Airbus ACJ318 and ACJ319 aircraft. Its own fleet includes Cessna Citation jets, the Citation XLS+ and Embraer Phenom aircraft.

Operational management covers flight operations, flight execution and crew management. Owners get a 24 hour operational control centre, airport, handling and fuel arrangements, crew recruiting, an in-house catering company, and payroll and insurance administration.

Technical services include an in-house CAMO and an EASA Part 145 maintenance facility. TJS also offers 24 hour AOG service, maintenance management and fleet management. It gives advice on buying an aircraft, benchmarking and resale value, and it supports the sales process.

Owners can add charter sales to lower the cost of ownership through better aircraft use. TJS also helps with financial management and reporting. Its Owners Club for management clients means no commission or extra charge for owner flights. Fleet discount savings pass directly to the owner, and the owner gets preferred charter rates.

Charter passengers can use fast check-in and lounge access, and can ask for hand-picked cabin crew. The company accepts crypto payments. It received the Platinum Safety Award from the European Business Aviation Association for more than 100,000 accident-free flight hours.
