About Travel Sentry

Travel Sentry is a travel security company. It makes lock and bag identification systems for travelers, airports, airlines and security agencies. It says its systems are used by airports, security agencies and luggage brands. Its Red Diamond mark is known around the world, and the company says it serves over 2 billion passengers every year.

The main product is the Travel Sentry approved lock. A traveler can lock a bag, and approved locks let screening staff open it for checks. This means the bag or the lock does not have to be forced open and broken. The company says the system reduces the time and resources that security agencies spend on screening checked bags. It also says this cuts delays and cost for airlines and airports.

Travel Sentry also offers ID tags. With the TSID tag, anyone who finds a lost item can enter its unique code on the website. The owner then receives a text message or an email that says where the item is and how to get it back. The OKOBAN UID works in a similar way. Each code is registered, which creates a permanent link between the item and its owner.

The company also promotes a new kind of permanent baggage tag. A traveler checks in a bag online and skips the tagging queue. The bag is then tracked at each step of the trip. The website calls this a new standard for permanent baggage tags.

Another standard is CarryOK. It supports cabin baggage screening and aims to improve security efficiency at airports worldwide. Travel Sentry says it works with airports, airlines and security partners so that the trip is smoother and safer for passengers.

The company has also moved into travel accessories. Its range is made mostly from recycled nylon and polyester. The recycled share is between 70 and 100 percent. The factories hold Global Recycle Standard certification. The company says the design focuses on comfort, quality materials and good finishes.

The website has a help page and travel advice articles. Topics include taking power banks on a flight and what to do after forgetting the combination on a TSA lock. Visitors can also contact the team with questions about locks and support.
