About TEMIS S.r.l.

TEMIS S.r.l. is an Italian company that designs and builds electronic equipment for aerospace and defence. It belongs to AVIO SpA, which is based in Colleferro near Rome. The headquarters are in Corbetta, close to Milan. The site says the company has two main branches. One is avionics and telemetry systems for short missions. The other is turnkey test systems for satellites.

TEMIS began in 2006 as an engineering firm. Its first work was electronic systems for Formula 1 and motorsport. In 2008 it began to move its know-how to space. It built a telemetry system for the Vega launcher, which gathers data and video for the whole flight. Since 2009 it has worked on institutional and industrial space programs with European and Italian space agencies.

The Corbetta site has about 400 square meters of offices and about 200 square meters of laboratory for integration and test. A second operating site is at Passignano, above Lake Trasimene. The company has about 40 staff, mostly engineers. AVIO as a whole has about 1,100 people.

The key skills include project management, system engineering and product assurance. They also include thermo-mechanical analysis, software and hardware development and custom embedded systems. Other skills cover attitude control systems for satellites and electrical actuator control. Test systems, called EGSE and SCOE, check satellites on the ground.

The product list includes an aerospace camera and launcher video and data telemetry. It also lists a pyro command distribution unit, a secondary power distribution box, a heat flux conditioner and a PAL video splitter. Test products include a discrete TMTC interface box, an electrical load box, an LCL board, a power interface box and a breakout box. The company also makes electromechanical actuators and a naval camera.

On quality, the system follows ISO 9001 and EN 9100, and also the ESA ECSS standards. The company lists a zero mistakes policy, with an iterative workflow that finds and removes errors from design to production. It is a member of Assolombarda, AIAD, AIPAS, ANTARES and the Umbria Aerospace Cluster.

News on the site includes a report that IFD is ready, dated September 2026, and that MPGE EM is up and running. The website also has pages on governance, projects, press, jobs and contacts.
