Starspeed

Starspeed is a helicopter charter and management company founded in 1978 and based at Fairoaks Airport in Surrey, south west of London. It is part of the Luxaviation Group. The company flies twin engine, instrument certified helicopters with instrument rated pilots and offers charter across London, the rest of the UK and Europe, 24 hours a day. Fairoaks has no restriction on operating hours, so early morning arrivals, night flights and off airfield landings can be arranged where permission allows. In 2026 Starspeed began operating a six seat Sikorsky S-76 C++ owned by HeliFlite, with most flights starting or finishing at London Heliport in Battersea. Typical trips include airport transfers, London to the Isles of Scilly and London to Paris in about 1 hour 25 minutes. Starspeed can also arrange ground transfers and catering. Pilot training and an H145 simulator are run from its second site at Kemble in Gloucestershire.
