About Spairliners
Spairliners is a company that looks after aircraft components. It focuses on the Airbus A380 and the Embraer E-Jet family, which means the E170, E175, E190 and E195. The company says it is the largest independent provider of component aftermarket service for these two aircraft types. Independent means it is not owned by the aircraft maker.
Spairliners was founded in 2005 to support operators of the A380. It is a joint venture of Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance and Lufthansa Technik. The first A380 entered service in 2007. Parts were costly and the technology was new. The company used a pooling idea to supply these small fleets at a lower cost. In 2013, it added the Embraer E-Jet family.
The company puts several services into one solution. These are repair, supply chain management, access to a pool of parts, and asset management. It sends serviceable parts from central logistics centers and component pools. Customers can ask for an outright sale, an exchange, a loan or a repair. They can also ask for a shared pool of ready to use parts.
There are two main service models. SpairONE gives flexible access to certified repairs and a strong network of maintenance shops. SpairCARE is a full package with logistics, repairs and pool access. It follows a power by the hour setup, where the customer pays a set rate for each flight hour. This gives a predictable cost.
Other features include a single contact and one agreement. The company also describes a Home Base Stock plan, which helps customers manage the value of their stock. It links to customer ERP systems so data moves between them. Repairs are certified by the FAA and EASA, and the company works with a network of maintenance partners.
Spairliners holds ISO 9001:2015 certification, a quality management standard. Its two owners work close to large airline groups. The company says this gives it many years of technical support experience. It also says it has grown to lead the market in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The website lists an AOG support line for aircraft on the ground, with numbers for Europe and the Americas. It also has a contact area for questions and partnership talks. Visitors can read more about the services and the team there.
