About SkyTeam
SkyTeam is a global airline alliance. Its member airlines work together so that travellers can move across one joined-up network. The alliance says its members welcome 667 million customers each year on more than 13,880 daily flights to 960 destinations in 165 countries.
Members include Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air Europa, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM and Korean Air, among others. The alliance has agreed with Aeroflot to suspend that airline's membership for now.
Frequent flyers can join the programme of any member airline. Their qualifying flights on every member then earn miles. They can use these miles for free flights on any SkyTeam airline. The alliance also runs 850 lounges where travellers can rest, eat or read before a flight. In 2026 it opened a lounge at Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3.
SkyTeam also serves business travellers. Its Corporate Connection offers agreements to companies in Greater China that fly with three or more SkyTeam members. Its Corporate Agreements give companies a way to manage travel contracts with several airlines in a way that follows competition law. Business travel reward programmes let small and mid-sized firms collect flight awards, lower travel costs and reward staff. The alliance also offers travel solutions for the maritime and offshore industries.
The alliance runs sustainability and people programmes. The Aviation Challenge, now in its fifth edition, supports sustainable innovation and shared knowledge across the aviation industry. SkyTeam also runs a women's leadership programme called RISE. News from the alliance is published from Amsterdam.
