Sky Flight Academy

Sky Flight Academy GmbH is a flight school at Krems airfield (LOAG) in Krems an der Donau, Austria, near Vienna. It was founded in late summer 2009, received its training organisation approval at the end of 2009 and now operates as EASA ATO AT.ATO.141. The school has about 20 staff. Its instructors are mostly airline and business aviation pilots.

Training

• Integrated and modular ATPL courses for a career in the cockpit
• Private Pilot Licence (PPL) for flying as a hobby

• Class and type specific training
• Airline assessment preparation and jet orientation on the Citation simulator
• Trial flights for people who want to try flying

Theory is taught in blocks with e-learning, and flight training follows lesson cards based on airline procedures. The ATPL can be done alongside a full-time job.

• Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP: 4 seats, 180 hp, Garmin G1000
• Diamond DA42 Twin Star: 4 seats, two 135 hp engines
• Elite Evolution FNPT II simulator (Piper Seneca and King Air 200), approvals AT-FNPT-1102 and AT-FNPT-1105, also for hire
• Cessna Citation C560 FTD for jet orientation and assessment training, also for hire

All aircraft are hangared and maintained under CAMO rules. Most have glass cockpits.
