About SATIM

SATIM is a Polish company that builds artificial intelligence software to analyse SAR radar images. Its main product, OREC, helps defence customers get intelligence from satellite, UAV and airborne SAR data in minutes. The company lists an office in London as well.

OREC detects, classifies and identifies vessels, vehicles and aircraft from SAR sensors. It handles more than 300 object classes and reaches accuracy of up to 95 percent. It works with data from satellite SAR providers, including Umbra, ICEYE, Capella and Synspective, and from UAV-based systems such as IMSAR. Customers can deploy it in the cloud, at the edge or fully air-gapped. It supports integration with command and control and C4ISR systems.

OREC-Intelligence builds on the OREC engine. It watches user-defined areas of interest and sends near-real-time alerts when activity or change passes set thresholds. It also runs time-series and pattern analysis. This reduces analyst overload and the delay between data and decisions.

SATIM also offers sovereign AI for classified SAR work. Its models can adapt to confidential data without exposing it. Customers get sovereign deployment and AI training, plus continuous updates.

The company says OREC has been tested and validated in operational environments with Rheinmetall, Thales and Airbus.

SATIM says SAR collection now produces more data than analysts can process, so much of it goes unused. It aims to shorten the time to intelligence. Its team of over 50 engineers, PhDs, analysts and defence professionals equips NATO and allied nations with AI for SAR intelligence. Its work rests on more than a decade of research and development.

Recent news includes a partnership with Bayanat Engineering Qatar to speed up SAR-based intelligence in Qatar, and an agreement with IMSAR to bring OREC analysis into Lisa 3D. OREC Evolve also received a distinction from the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces.
