The company provides non emergency medical transport for stable patients on commercial airline flights throughout the United States and internationally. Licensed registered nurses and paramedics accompany patients from door to door, offering clinical care from origin to destination at a lower cost than private air ambulance services.

The company serves patients who are medically stable and able to sit upright for takeoff and landing. This includes individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, cardiac conditions, respiratory conditions, post surgical recovery needs, and elderly travelers. They also provide safe transport for patients requiring mental health support during travel. Patients who require ventilator support, cannot sit upright, or need continuous ICU level intervention are not candidates for the standard escort service.

Services include medical escort services on commercial flights, commercial airline stretcher service on select international routes, international medical repatriation, nurse case management, and stretcher and special needs transport. The stretcher service is available only on certain long haul international routes, primarily through carriers operating in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific. This option requires three to twelve days lead time and removes six to nine economy seats to install a medical cot.

The company coordinates all logistics including ground transport at both ends of the journey. Case managers work with hospitals, physicians, airlines, and the FAA to obtain medical clearances twenty four to forty eight hours before departure. All specialized equipment is pre approved with the airline before travel.

Clinical escorts travel with portable medical equipment including FAA approved portable oxygen concentrators, cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, IV supplies and medications, blood pressure cuffs, and emergency medical kits. They also arrange specialized wheelchairs and mobility aids that meet aircraft requirements.

RN Mediflights accepts requests twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The team handles commercial flight bookings, airline medical approvals, MEDIF forms, and ground transport coordination between hospitals, homes, and nursing facilities. The company serves patients traveling domestically within the United States and to over one hundred countries worldwide.
