Radar

Aircraft digital logbooks and maintenance tracking, United States

About Radar

Radar, operated by RadarDB, LLC, is a US company that turns aircraft logbooks into searchable digital records and adds maintenance tracking on top of them. It was founded by Israel Slodowitz, who has a background in flight operations, compliance and aircraft capital decisions. Its customers include directors of maintenance, flight departments, owners and lenders.

Records

  • Customers ship their paper logbooks using prepaid labels, or upload PDFs; the company says records are ready in about two weeks
  • Each page, typed or handwritten, is read into data: dates, work orders, repair stations, times and cycles, tasks with ATA references, parts removed and installed by part and serial number, airworthiness directives and service bulletins, and signatures
  • Every entry links back to the scanned page it came from
  • Folders in Google Drive or OneDrive can be connected so new files are added automatically
  • Used for audits and pre-purchase reviews, so inspectors can open the page rather than the binder

The company lists Records from $2,400 per aircraft per year.

Maintenance tracking

A due list built from maintenance programmes, squawks with MEL deferral, work plans, and technician and inspector sign-offs, with a check before release to service. It can import a Traxxall status report.

Other tools

The site also lists aircraft valuation, insurance and portfolio monitoring tools, an N-number lookup and an AD lookup.
