PLANELOGIX is a digital aircraft maintenance records service based in Carrboro, North Carolina. The company turns paper logbooks into digital records, backs them up and tracks maintenance for aircraft owners. It says its electronic signatures and record keeping follow FAA advisory circular 120-78B.

The company says accurate logbooks protect the value of an aircraft. Its website claims that 60 percent of an aircraft's value comes from accurate logbooks. Digital records can make a sale faster, shorten purchase due diligence and reduce the risk of a lost or damaged logbook.

In house scanning is done by full time staff who are trained to handle aircraft records. Powerful OCR converts scanned pages into a searchable record, and maintenance entries can also be typed by hand. Owners can share records with anyone using predefined roles, so banks, insurance companies and mechanics get only the access they need.

Maintenance tracking covers due maintenance, airworthiness directives, FARs and service bulletins. Users can set up email alerts, and the system updates aircraft times automatically through FlightAware. Owners can also track oil changes and overhaul schedules.

The service works at different levels, from full do it yourself to full concierge. It also works when someone else manages the aircraft, such as a mechanic, a maintenance shop or a management company. Customers keep ownership of their data, and all records can be exported.

The site lists integrations and partnerships with Aircraft Spruce, AOPA Sweeps, Airsync and Airbly. Aircraft Spruce became a strategic partner in May 2020. The company launched a beta at Sun N Fun in the spring of 2014 and says it has worked with thousands of owners since then.
