Parrot Drones

Parrot is a French drone company based in Paris. It was founded in 1994 by Henri Seydoux, who is still chairman, CEO and main shareholder. Parrot describes itself as Europe's leading group in professional micro drones and 3D mapping. Its drones are designed in Europe and built in the United States and South Korea.

• ANAFI UKR: a jamming resistant micro drone that can fly without GNSS, with a 35x zoom camera, thermal imaging, 5G link and a low acoustic signature. The XLR version adds longer flight time.
• ANAFI Ai: a 4G connected drone with secure pairing and an open SDK
• ANAFI USA: a compact drone used by the FBI, the NCIS, the US Army and the British Army, according to Parrot
• CHUCK 3.0 flight controller
• FreeFlight 8 flight app and the Sphinx simulator
• Pix4D: photogrammetry and geospatial software for surveying, construction, agriculture and public safety

Who uses Parrot drones

Security forces, public safety teams, industrial inspectors and public authorities in more than 50 countries. The main uses are intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), public safety and technical inspection.

Security and data

Parrot builds its drones with a secure element (FIPS 140-2 and CC EAL5+ certified), encrypts photos and videos on the SD card, and follows the EU GDPR rules. Users can keep data local, store it on Parrot's servers in Europe, or delete it in one click. The software uses open standards and Parrot publishes an SDK so developers can run their own code on the drone.
