OSM Aviation Academy

OSM Aviation Academy is a flight school for pilots. The site says the academy has offered training to pilots and airlines since 1963. It describes itself as one of the largest aviation academies in Europe, with training bases in Norway and the United States. The contact address is in Arendal, Norway.

The main course is the Airline Ready program, which is an integrated ATPL course. It starts with aviation theory and builds to flight skills. Students who finish as a CPL holder can take part in the recruitment process with partner airlines. The site also lists a flight instructor career program.

Partner airlines named on the site include Norse Atlantic Airways, with its Second Officer Program, and Norwegian Air Shuttle, with its First Officer Program. Widerøe is also listed as a partner. The academy says it helps students through recruitment with these airlines.

Entry needs a passed admission test and a Class 1 medical certificate. The admission test stays valid for one year. The site says the deadline to apply is two months before each course start, and students must sign a contract, pay the registration fee, and book the medical by then. The listed application deadline is February 6, 2027, for a class starting April 6, 2027.

OSM Fort Lauderdale is listed for students who only want the FAA license in the USA. The academy also lists course renewals, type ratings, and ATPL courses. The site mentions OSM Airline Solution, which offers consulting to improve airline operations.

Contact is by phone at +47 417 70 007. The site also links to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. It has a page for flight instructor careers and a list of current job openings at OSM.

The site has a Pilot Open Day page and an admission test page. It explains that the medical and test steps can take time, so students should start early.
