Defence applications include C5ISR, command and control, SIGINT and electronic warfare, autonomy, modelling and simulation, and integrated air and missile defence. Commercial applications include oil and gas, PCIe scale-out, mining and construction, medical imaging, agriculture, test and measurement, and aerospace.

Company history and memberships

In 2016 OSS merged with Magma, combining PCIe expansion and GPU-accelerated computing, which the company says established it in the AI Transportable market. In 2018 it acquired Concept Development, Inc. (CDI) of Escondido, adding aerospace design and military-grade manufacturing. OSS is a small business and non-traditional defence contractor, and a member of the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) consortium, the Open Compute Project and PCI-SIG.
