North Dakota Aeronautics Commission
North Dakota's state aviation agency since 1947
About North Dakota Aeronautics Commission
The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission is the state agency established in 1947 by the North Dakota Legislature to represent the state in aviation matters and to take responsibility for its aviation programmes and regulatory framework. Its mission is to serve the public by providing economic and technical assistance to the aviation community while ensuring the safe and cost-effective advancement of aviation in North Dakota. The commission is led by commissioners appointed by the governor, typically meets every two months with agendas and minutes published online, and is based at the general aviation terminal of Bismarck Municipal Airport under executive director Kyle C. Wanner, who also serves as an ex-officio member of the Northern Plains UAS Test Site Authority.
