About Norrønafly Rakkestad

Norrønafly Rakkestad AS is an aircraft workshop at Rakkestad airport in Norway. It maintains and repairs small aircraft and also buys and sells used aircraft.

The main work is maintenance of single-engine and twin-engine piston and turbine aircraft. The workshop also repairs composite and metal structures. It makes modifications to suit customer needs and the rules that apply. Customers can bring an aircraft in for 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 hour maintenance and inspections.

Norrønafly has its own fully equipped engine shop. The company says it is an approved and certified engine shop. Its technical staff are authorised to work on Lycoming and Continental engines, and both makers have certified them. The company always uses original, factory-approved parts. It has direct access to technical documents and data from the manufacturers. Work comes with a warranty and is documented to the requirements of the aviation authorities. Norrønafly is also an approved Rotax workshop. It services, repairs and maintains Rotax engines with the same quality and traceability standards as other engines.

The company often has used aircraft for sale and can sell a customer's aircraft too. It says each sale comes with a proper inspection and papers for a safe deal. It also helps people buy aircraft. The team can travel in Norway and abroad to inspect an aircraft a customer wants to buy.

The Edhi Foundation will use it as an air ambulance in disasters and emergencies. The company followed the process from sale to export. The pilots converted their licences with its partner, Oslo Flight Academy. A celebration of 40 years of the Cessna Caravan, with a visit from Cessna.

Visitors are welcome to drop in at the airport by car, bus or plane.
