About NATA- National Air Transportation Association
The National Air Transportation Association, called NATA, is a trade association for aviation businesses. It says it promotes the safety, prosperity and long life of the aviation industry. The association works with Congress and federal agencies on rules that affect its members.
NATA says its members are nearly 3,700 companies. They provide a broad range of aviation services. These include aircraft sales, fuel, ground support, passenger and crew services, aircraft parking and storage, on-demand air charter, aircraft rental, flight training, maintenance and overhaul, parts sales and fleet management.
Advocacy covers air charter, airport business, advanced air mobility, maintenance, safety and the environment. Members can follow these issues through committees and take part in the work of the association.
Safety training is a core benefit. The NATA Safety 1st Training Program has led the industry in ground handling training for more than 30 years. It has trained thousands of aviation professionals around the world.
Membership brings regulatory and legislative support, timely industry news, member partner programs and seminars and conferences. A student membership is available, and members can use the member directory. Membership support levels are also offered.
The association offers insurance programs for members. These cover workers' compensation, cyber, healthcare, pilot loss of license, pilot group term life and critical illness. Discount programs include uniform services, rental cars and FedEx shipping. The association also lists a business solutions directory and apprenticeship guidance.
