Mile High Air Boss

Mile High Air Boss is a US team of air show professionals providing air boss services for air shows, air boss training and FAA air boss evaluations, and air show planning support. The team brings together 40 years of combined event management experience and works as the event's FAA liaison to ensure that every required safety item is covered, describing a professional air boss as the safety net for performers and the event itself. It has worked with rockets, drones, warbirds and military acts, and helps organisers make events legal and safe by working with the FAA and airports.

Team

• Scott McMillan, a two-time ICAS Platinum Pinnacle Award winner and FAA Recognized Air Boss in the multi-venue category, with more than 25 years of air show experience as a performer, producer, innovator and air boss, specialising in complex events including military participation; he is an ICAS-approved air boss instructor and an FAA Recognized Air Boss evaluator
• Bob Evans, an ICAS Platinum Pinnacle Award winner and FAA Recognized Air Boss in the standard category, with a background in marine and aviation event management, specialising in small and unique shows across the Rocky Mountain region
• Zoe Albrecht, who provides logistical support for performers and their ground crews

Services

Air boss services for shows of any size; training, mentoring and evaluation of air boss candidates in all categories for those seeking FAA recognition, with a series of air boss workshops planned; and air show planning help, from an organiser's first show to growing an existing show or adding new elements, including plan reviews. The team says it supports organisers' own ideas rather than imposing its own, offers a free 30-minute consultation call and one-to-one coaching, and is dedicated to keeping air shows across the country alive and well.
