MADES
High-reliability electronics manufacturing services in Málaga since 1990
About MADES
MADES is an electronics manufacturing services provider for high-reliability defence, aerospace, automotive, industrial and medical systems, based at Avenida Juan López Peñalver 12 in the Málaga TechPark, Spain. Founded in 1990 as the first company to set up in the Andalusia Technology Park, originally as Hughes Microelectronics and later part of Raytheon, it has delivered industrialisation, manufacturing, testing and integration of critical electronic systems for 25 years in Spain and internationally, and its logo appears on the site both as a Latécoère company and alongside Cicor.
Services
- Development: MADES engineers join the client's integrated product team to secure mechanical and electronic design for manufacture from the outset
- Industrialisation: design of process flows and controls that optimise manufacturing, working backwards from a successful production operation to an optimum design
- Manufacturing: flexible production of electronic cards and systems on SMT lines, wave soldering and system assembly and integration plants, with box-build services
- Testing: tailored test strategies including process control, complex parametric and functional tests and environmental tests to guarantee the required reliability
- Integration and programme support throughout the product life cycle
Quality and certifications
- ISO 9001, Nadcap AC7120 electronics, NATO AQAP 2110 and EN 9100 for aerospace and defence, with customer special process facility qualifications
- Manufacturing processes and quality system aligned with IATF 16949 for automotive and ISO 13485 for medical
- A Six Sigma and lean management programme described as the basis of a mission assurance culture, under the Fast-to-Market approach of industrialisation, reliability, lean thinking and responsible supply chain management
Company
MADES says many clients have used its services for more than 15 years without interruption and that its technical knowledge stems from the legacy passed on by Raytheon and Hughes. Since 2025 it has operated on 100 percent renewable electricity, 20 percent of it self-generated, manages packaging waste with the GENCI collective scheme and has received NextGenerationEU funding for an efficient and sustainable mobility project. It takes part in industry associations such as TEDAE and the Andalusian aerospace cluster, and offers a presentation, brochure and video for download.
