Liscotech System

Liscotech System is a Taiwan-based aerospace electronics company in the Neihu district of Taipei. It was formed to serve the growing need for specialised computing and, drawing on more than a decade of commercial technology experience, develops digital computing and imaging products for industrial, military and space requirements. Its stated mission is to build instruments for low Earth orbit satellites and systems with high stability and radiation tolerance, and it has launched several FPGA and CMOS imaging payloads as well as payloads on x86 and ARM platforms. Liscotech is ISO 9001:2015 certified and manufactures in-house.

• On-board computers (OBC) for CubeSats and microsatellites

• Boards, systems and complete solutions, with rapid customisation when standard products do not meet a requirement
• High-end machine vision systems and long-wave infrared (LWIR) monitoring systems, including dual-sensor smart vision with a 3D effect
• Image processing intellectual property for FPGAs

The company is also developing systems in other wavebands, including ultraviolet and short-wave infrared, for unmanned aerial vehicle applications, under the motto that the world works better when it flies.

Team and partners

Liscotech was founded by a National Taiwan University engineer who became a serial entrepreneur after executive roles in the industrial PC sector, with a hardware design lead specialising in FPGA architecture, image processing, machine vision and stereoscopic vision. Technology partners named on the site include Xilinx, AMD and Microchip Technology, and the company works with the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA), formerly the National Space Organization.
