Lamiflex

Lamiflex S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of advanced composite products and components, based in Ponte Nossa in the province of Bergamo. It designs, develops and produces parts for sectors where light weight and high performance matter, namely aerospace and defence, textile machinery, medical equipment and industrial customers. The company has more than fifty years of composites experience, and in 2017 it entered a strategic partnership with the Itema Group, a supplier of weaving solutions, of which it is now a company.

Lamiflex works with a wide set of in-house technologies and a dedicated research and development team, and says its mission is to develop, validate and produce composite solutions. Its recent news includes the Nadcap accreditation for composites.

Aerospace and defence work

• Environmental control system air ducts, with a stated operating temperature range of minus 55 to 300 degrees Celsius
• Shielding composite cable ducts offering electromagnetic and radio frequency shielding as a light metal replacement
• Ballistic panels, made as semi-finished products by press or autoclave
• A mounting assembly for optical devices inside a space telescope for Earth observation
• Parts of a robotic arm that deploys the ion thrusters of a reconnaissance satellite
• Satellite and telecommunication components and structural frame components

Manufacturing technologies

The company lists filament winding, wrapping of woven prepreg on mandrels, continuous pultruded profiles, autoclave and press curing, progressive and multi chamber presses, press forming of glass or carbon filled compounds, resin transfer moulding and solvent impregnation.

Other markets

Beyond aerospace, Lamiflex makes composite parts for rapier weaving machines, CFRP rollers and tubes for paper, tissue, non-woven and film industries, rods and expansion shafts, and accessories for medical imaging machines. In 2025 it named Rui Ying Trading Company as its sole official distributor for mainland China and Hong Kong for its textile and industrial lines.
