About JH Aircraft

JH Aircraft GmbH is a German maker of light aircraft. It builds the Corsair, a light aircraft for the 120 kg ultralight class, in Buxtehude in Lower Saxony. The company says it is a specialist in light aircraft construction.

The Corsair has a primary structure made of carbon fibre. The fuselage uses what the company calls its own legally protected carbon fibre truss technology. The cockpit is built as a safety cell, and a whole-aircraft rescue system is available. The aircraft can be flown with a combustion engine or with electric power, and the site has a page for the Corsair e-motion.

Customers can buy the Corsair as a finished aircraft or as a kit. A complete kit and several part kits are available, so a builder can choose by skill level and the time they can spend.

JH Aircraft was founded in January 2016 as a spin-off of the aerospace consulting company JH Engineering. It was set up to develop a light aircraft that meets rules such as the British SSDR and FAR 103. The founder has more than 35 years in the aircraft industry. His work includes design and stress work on sport aircraft, structural mechanics for passenger aircraft and composite manufacturing. He has also flown as a pilot for more than 40 years.

The company works with the university Hochschule 21, where the founder teaches composite design as an honorary professor. The site has pages for projects, news, press releases and media, in German and English. The address is Philipp-Reis-Str. 3, 21614 Buxtehude, and the phone number is +49 4161 6531212. A contact form is on the site.
