IDS AirNav

IDS AirNav makes software and services for air traffic management and for airports. Its site says it offers ready made software products and highly customised solutions. They help customers move from Aeronautical Information Services to Aeronautical Information Management, in line with ICAO and EUROCONTROL rules on data quality. The company was bought by the ENAV Group in January 2023.

The site says IDS AirNav has more than 130 customers on 5 continents. They include air navigation service providers, airport authorities, aviation agencies, and government and private bodies, in both civil and military markets. Its two main product areas are air traffic management and aeronautical information management.

The air traffic management line includes a suite for air traffic flow management and airspace management. The information line covers the whole path from data collection to publication. Named products include FPDAM for flight procedure design, used by more than 60 customers, as well as AACS, FPSAT, TBA3D, e-TOD Suite, EMACS, CRONOS, WePub and Ubimex.

The company also sells services. These include flight procedure design, ground based checks, flyability evaluation, risk assessment, CNS performance review, siting of navigation aids, electromagnetic interference checks, terrain and obstacle data and chart design.

Its flight procedure design team is certified by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, the Australian CASA, Transport Canada, the South African authority, the authority of Papua New Guinea and the Gulf Civil Aviation Authority in the UAE. Designers are also qualified under Canadian rule CAR 802.

The site has an IDS Training Academy, a virtual showroom, brochures and news. In October 2026 the company took part in the AeroSIG event in Rome.
