HTX Labs

HTX Labs is a Houston, Texas, company that builds the EMPACT Mission Readiness System, which connects mission knowledge, immersive training, guided execution and performance capture to improve readiness of US forces. It describes EMPACT as a secure, IL4-accredited operational environment where units train on essential tasks, execute with guided support and capture lessons learned.

The company was formed by co-founders who in 2017 planned to use immersive technologies to transform critical skills training, working from Station Houston. In 2018 it joined the US Air Force Pilot Training Next initiative to bring immersive training to airmen, which established the need for and foundation of the EMPACT platform and showed the operational value of extended reality for pilot training.

What EMPACT does

• Build readiness across the mission by connecting knowledge, training, execution and performance in one environment
• Immersive, task-based training in realistic scenarios to strengthen decision-making and confidence
• Support in secure, disconnected and contested environments, with operational performance and lessons learned captured for improvement
