Helibiz is a helicopter business based at Whitsunday Airport, Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach, Queensland. It says it has supported the Australian helicopter industry since 1994, with sales, training, maintenance and airwork under one roof.

Sales

Helibiz sells new Robinson helicopters across the range from the R22 to the R66 turbine, offers pre-owned helicopters, and runs a brokerage service for buyers and sellers.

Flight training

Training is one on one, with instructors who have worked in long lining, mustering, firebombing, surveying and flood relief. Courses cover private and commercial licences, theory, flight review, low level rating, sling endorsement and gas turbine endorsement. Helibiz holds CASA Part 141 approval CASA.141 FTO.0156.

Servicing and parts

The maintenance department works on helicopters including all Robinson models, Bell 205, 206, 407 and 212, Airbus EC120, EC130, AS350, H125 and H130 and Leonardo A119, as well as light fixed wing aircraft. It is a Rolls Royce RR300 approved service centre and holds CASA approval CASA.COA.0255.

Airwork and safaris

Airwork includes heavy lift and external load work, disaster response, and fire fighting with 650 litre and 1,400 litre buckets or air attack supervision. Helibiz also runs tagalong helicopter safaris, marking 20 years of safaris in 2026.
