About A.M.T. HELICOPTERS
Airwork Aviation runs a flight school, scenic flights and charters, and a servicing business in Brisbane and Moreton Bay, Queensland. The main office and Caboolture Airfield are in Caboolture. A second base is at Archerfield Airfield. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, and flights are pre booked only.
The company says its team of 30 experienced flight instructors, aircraft engineers and mechanics has been mentoring pilots across Australia since 1986. It has over 35 years of aviation experience.
Flight training is delivered through Airwork Helicopters, a registered training organisation with RTO 30839. It offers commercial helicopter and aeroplane licence courses, a multi engine instrument rating, and beginner to advanced training. VET student loans are available.
Trial instructional flights of 30 to 60 minutes let people try a helicopter or aeroplane before they commit. Each trial flight is a way to check comfort in the cockpit and learn about the flight school.
The company's airfields are near Moreton Bay, the Glasshouse Mountains, the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, the Scenic Rim and the Lockyer Valley. Options include quick joy rides, airport transfers, winery tours and custom charter flights along the coastline and islands.
The fleet includes Robinson R44 and R22 helicopters, Bell 47G and Bell OH-58A Kiowa helicopters, and Cessna 172, Cessna 182 and Piper Seminole aeroplanes. The R44 seats four and the R22 seats two. The Bell 47G is one of the longest running commercial helicopters. The company also has a CASA approved FRASCA simulator for Cessna 172 and Piper Seminole training.
The engineers service rotary and fixed wing aircraft. They are specialists on the Bell 47, Bell 206 and UH1H, with experience on Robinson, MD and Airbus AS350 helicopters. Services include repairs, overhauls, registrations, importing and exporting helicopters, avionics installations, refurbishment and spare parts, including Bell 206 rotor tail blades. Its team can advise on sales or registrations, and it offers interior and exterior refurbishment with fabrics, finishes and paint.
