Heaven's Landing

Heaven's Landing is a private fly-in community in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northeast Georgia, three miles northwest of Clayton. The gated community covers 639 acres and sells estate lots arranged around a private runway, for pilots who want to keep an aircraft at home.

The runway and airfield

• 5,200 foot paved concrete runway, identifier GE99, at 2,724 feet MSL
• FAA certified RNAV GPS approach to Runway 23 and pilot controlled lighting
• Runway used by community members and their guests only
• 100LL and Jet A fuel available on the field, according to its website
• Each property owner holds an undivided interest in the runway

Lots, homes and hangars

The community has about 300 estate-sized lots. Taxiway lots allow an owner to build a home and hangar together. Owners on other lots can keep aircraft in a hangar facility next to the runway. The community states that there is no build time requirement, and that architectural guidelines apply across the community. Tours are by appointment.

Setting

The community is surrounded by National Forest and is about four miles from downtown Clayton in Rabun County. Its website describes a clubhouse and nearby outdoor activities such as hiking, boating and rafting.
