Hahn Airport

Hahn Airport is an international airport in the Hunsrück area of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is run by TRIWO Hahn Airport GmbH, and TRIWO AG has owned the company since May 2023. The airport was once a United States military airfield and has been in civil use since 1993.

The site says the business rests on two pillars, passenger traffic and air freight. In 2025 about 2.2 million passengers used the airport, which makes it the tenth largest passenger airport in Germany. In the same year it handled more than 106,600 tonnes of cargo. Ryanair landed the first passenger plane on 22 April 1999, and the airport followed a low cost model from then on. More than 30 holiday destinations are served.

Hahn works around the clock, which the site says only a few German international airports can do. It has a 3,800 meter runway and an instrument landing system for bad weather. About 5.5 million people live within 100 kilometers. The site says more than 2,000 people work directly at the location.

The company rents out advertising space, from ceiling banners to outdoor boards. It also has shop and catering spaces in the terminal for rent. An event area of 27,965 square meters is available for hire, with its own car park and access road.
